Mt. Washington Bank Names Two New Branch Managers in South Boston

South Boston, MA - - -Mt. Washington Bank has chosen two new managers to lead its team at the branches located on East Broadway and West Broadway.

Sharon Kitson has been promoted to branch manager of the West Broadway location. She joined Mt. Washington Bank in 2001 and according to Ed Merritt, President and CEO of the Bank; Kitson is passionate about what she does. “Sharon is a great example of Mt. Washington Bank dedication. She believes in delivering quality customer service and as a result has a wonderful working relationship with our banking community,” says Merritt. Originally from South Boston, Kitson, over the course of her career at the Bank, has held several positions including, teller, customer service representative and assistant branch manager. “I am very proud to be part of the Mt. Washington Bank family and to lead a great group of people at the West Broadway branch who all believe in putting the customers needs first,” stated Kitson.

Mary Chichester, the new manager of the East Broadway branch, has been with Mt. Washington Bank since July 2006. Originally from Dorchester, Chichester has over 20 years of banking experience. Prior to coming to Mt. Washington Bank, Chichester served as branch manager II at Bank of America in Fields Corner, Dorchester for several years. “Mary is a great asset to Mt. Washington Bank. She understands the value of providing outstanding customer service, which begins the moment the customer first steps into the bank until the moment their banking business is completed,” says Merritt. “Together with the other East Broadway branch employees, I look forward to continuing to provide excellent service to our valued customers,” says Chichester.

Founded in 1893, Mt. Washington Bank has stayed committed to the promise outlined in its mission statement by being "full-service independent bank, offering financial services to meet the needs of its retail and small business community. Mt. Washington recently announced the opening of its new Gallivan Boulevard branch in Dorchester, representing the Bank's fourth branch location in addition to a stand alone loan center.
