Washington Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Dorfman to Senior Vice President, residential mortgage and commercial lending division. Dorfman has close to 20 years experience in residential mortgage lending. She will be responsible for managing Mt. Washington Bank’s mortgage banking and consumer lending functions.

“Laura Dorfman is an extreamly talented loan officer and mortgage professional. This promotion reflects the commitment and dedication she has displayed to Mt. Washington Bank during her 18 month tenure,” said Merritt.
Prior to joining Mt. Washington, Dorfman was Senior Vice President of residential lending for Medford Bank. She began her career at the former BayBank Middlesex in 1983 as a customer service manager. Dorfman is a member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association and serves as treasurer of Aid to Cancer Research, a group of 26 women from the greater Boston area who have raised millions of dollars to support vital research programs and medical grants in its 52 years of existence. She holds a B.A. from Providence College and an M.B.A. from Bentley College.
