Session Provides One-stop Shopping for Best Mortgage Deals in Boston

Mayor Thomas M. Menino invites first-time homebuyers and existing homeowners looking to refinance to shop for the best mortgage deal in Boston at a special “Meet the Lenders” session. The Department of Neighborhood Development is sponsoring “Meet the Lenders,” a meeting with the city’s participating severalmortgage lenders, which will be held at the Brighton Branch Library, 40 Academy Hill Road, Brighton on Thursday, February 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

This event will feature information about one-stop shopping to meet for mortgage lenders, special mortgage programs, city-funded downpayment and closing cost assistance, free mortgage pre-qualifications, affordable homeownership listings, sign up for free homebuyer and Credit Smart courses, home repair and lead paint assistance and bilingual staff will be there to assist you. assistance.

Participating lenders include: Bank of America, Boston Private Bank and Trust, Citizens Bank, The City of Boston Credit Union, East Boston Savings Bank, Eastern Bank, Hyde Park Cooperative Bank, Hyde Park Savings Bank, Mt. Washington Bank and Sovereign Bank.
