Boston --- Edward J, Merritt, President and CEO of Mt. Washington Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Krista Birardi as Vice President- Commercial Loan Officer.
Birardi is a financial sales professional with an extensive background in commercial real estate lending. She will be responsible for developing new business and managing an existing portfolio comprised of multi-family, residential construction, and commercial real estate loans. Birardi will be working with Richard M. Costa, Sr. Vice President and Chief Loan Officer, and a dedicated staff of business lending professionals at the bank’s Loan Center, 455 West Broadway, South Boston.

Prior to joining Mt. Washington, Birardi was a Vice President of Commercial Real Estate for Citizens Bank of Massachusetts. At Citizens she was responsible for new business development and portfolio management. She has also worked for such instituions as Elliot Bank and the former Shawmut Bank in the area of commerical real estate. Birardi holds a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Boston College.
